Who's your favorite quintessential local character? The owner of the Haight Street Market. He's survived decades of Haight Street weirdness and still has a sense of humor. 

What's your go-to date place? Udon dinner at Mifune in Japantown, followed by a movie and a glass of wine at the Kabuki Cinema.

What do you get obsessive about here in SF? Pie-making contests and pie shops.

What would you change about SF? I love the city's open spaces, parks and parklets. There should be more!

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? General Store in the Sunset. They seem to carry a little bit of everything and have a backyard with a greenhouse.
