Neighborhood: Inner Sunset

Gig: Co-founder, Turntable Kitchen

What are you up to these days? Along with my husband, I'm helping people around the world enjoy food and music together with Turntable Kitchen. We’ve got a sweet new subscription service called the Turntable Kitchen Pairings Box. Every month we send out Pairings Boxes packed with goodies including a limited edition, hand-numbered 7” vinyl single; three original, seasonal, themed recipes; one to two premium dried ingredients; a digital mixtape; and our tasting notes for helping you create a perfectly paired meal at home.

Where do you get your local gossip? Twitter! I’m able to follow all of my favorite people from one place. Also, Flipboard, an awesome iPad app that lets me create a digital magazine out of all of my favorite blogs.

Where's your go-to date place? Outerlands: it’s way out in the Outer Sunset, cozy and romantic. Plus, if the weather’s nice, you can stroll along Ocean Beach, and if it’s cold, you can cuddle at the table under one of the blankets they provide for outdoor tables.

Where's your secret spot? Inner Fog Wine Bar. If we’re friends, I’ve probably either been there with you, or asked you to meet me there at some point. It makes me appreciate what I love so much about San Francisco: it’s a great neighborhood spot, the people who work there always recognize us and are happy to see us, and there’s a huge selection of great wines, craft beers, and even chocolate truffles! It’s great for a date, a night with friends, or a long talk with a girlfriend.

Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? On Sundays, when Golden Gate Park is closed to cars, I love to take my bike out with my husband and ride past the buffalo patch. I also love to walk to the Richmond and spend hours browsing cookbooks and travel books at Green Apple Books.

What would you change about SF? As much as I love my city, I hate how dirty it is. MUNI makes me want to sanitize every inch of my body. I’d love to see the city cleaned up a bit.
