Neighborhood: Downtown

Gig: Entertainment/Food Producer for SFGate.com

What are you up to these days? Perfecting my jam making, attempting to teach myself to sew and learning to like sunrises, thanks to 6 a.m. boot camp. Professionally, I’m trying to conquer a new CMS.

What event will we find you at this weekend? I’m hoping to head over to the De Young to see the new Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? Cotogna. It’s warm and rustic, and they have amazing pastas and cocktails. Though I’d be perfectly happy with a Proving Ground IPA and a burger at Magnolia.

Where do you get your local gossip? I sit smack in the middle of the Chronicle newsroom, so I overhear some good stuff. I also rely on Inside Scoop SF and Tablehopper for food-related goodies, and I’m kinda addicted to Twitter.

Why do you love your neighborhood? Off the Grid on Wednesdays and Fridays. Oh, and I can get anywhere in the city pretty darn quick.

What's your favorite SF institution? Golden Gate Park. Sure it’s gloomy there a lot of the time, but I love wandering through the gardens, taking my daughter to the playgrounds, and hitting up the museums. Plus: Bison!

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? Pot + Pantry and Omnivore Books. I think they’d bankrupt me. I can never have too many kitchen things or cookbooks.
