Neighborhood: SOMA

Gig: Founder and CEO of TaskRabbit

What event will we find you this week? I will be sitting on a panel about the Sharing Economy at the Commonwealth Club on Thursday, August 16th from 6:30-7:30pm.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? The Chairman.. the Coca Cola Braised Pork Bao… 10 of them.

Where do you get your local gossip? San Francisco Magazine and TechCrunch. I like reading SF Mag to stay up-to-date on all things San Francisco, while TechCrunch keeps me in-the-know in the tech scene.

Why do you love your neighborhood? I love the vibe of SOMA. So many tech startups in one neighborhood give it a really upbeat energy that I can’t get enough of.

Where's your secret spot? Town’s End Restaurant & Bakery – I love going here for breakfast meetings. It’s a little off the beaten path, so it’s nice and quiet.

What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? The Butler & the Chef in South Park. While this place may be well-known in the SOMA / tech community, many people in the rest of the city have never been. It’s a little French spot, with a to-die-for Croque-monsieur.

What's your favorite SF institution? The Crème Brulee cart!
