Where does everybody know your name?  Matching Half Cafe (well, by my nickname "cappuccino to go").

What's your most embarrassing SF moment?  My first weekend living here I randomly went into a party, tripped over the PA killing all the music, and was immediately asked to leave. 

Where would you have your last meal on earth (and what would you eat)?  The Maza Mediterranean plate and Falafel wrap at Ziryab, enjoyed out under the heat lamps. 

Where do you get your city gossip? Typically overheard at the Phone Booth.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character?   Robert Doerr, the Civic Center Accordionist (and his dog Ginger). Whatever he's playing usually gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day.  

What's your secret spot in town?  Corkage Sake and Wine Shop (when Bar 821 is too crowded or loud).
