What are you up to these days? Finishing a new record at Hyde St Studio C, to be released in September. Playing some shows coming up. Some local and a few in LA.

What event will we find you at the week of July 16? I'm playing July 19 at Amnesia – a record release party for Secret Seven compilation with Jesse Jackson, Will Sprott, and Bad Backs. Also, on July 20 at the Verdi Club for the Summer Soul party, singing as part of the back-up group and also doing few songs singing the main vocals with a big dance band.

 SF is... alive with the sound of music!!

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Parker Gibbs. He's always got something silly to say about something and everything.

Where's your go-to date place? The Make-Out Room – because it's home away from home.

Where's your secret spot? McLaren Park pond. It's a nice quiet place to walk around and take my dog swimming.

What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? Cordon Bleu Vietnamese Restaurant – very cheap and good. It's been there on California and Polk for years.

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? Foggy Notion out in the avenues – looks great and my friend Alissa Anderson owns that shop.

What would you change about SF? Less crazy wind on Bernal Hill.
