What are you up to these days? Telling jokes and speculating on the purpose of our lives together. It's an amazing world and there is a lot of sorrow in it, which troubles me. I love hearing laughter from people and ease them from judging ourselves to harshly. We are all doing the best we can.

What event will we find you at this week? Tuesday the 27th is Rajeev's Big Nite Out!, a night of comedy and music I host/produce once a month at my favorite venue, Amnesia. Starting in April it will be on the 4th Saturday of each month. It's a real labor of love. I'm so involved in keeping it going well I barely have time to enjoy it myself, but seeing happy people is the reward.

SF is... a great city for an artist to find their voice unfettered by aggressive commercial concerns.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? So many good places, but I do love sitting at the counter at Bar Bambino. It just feels right and the food is great.

Where's your go-to date place? A meandering walk around the neighborhood on a nice night is always good place to start.

Where's your secret spot? Behind my right ear.

What do you get obsessive about here in SF? I'm a bit of a clothing junkie. Especially women's clothes. They are much more interesting than men's. Sometimes I get something for a friend, because I know it would look great on her.

What would you change about SF? Add more trash cans, because people's littering habits are a goddamn crying shame around here.

What's next for you in your personal world? I'd like to open a co-op cafe/diner here one day, something that is neighborhood-y and unpretentious like when I was a kid in New York. Have some children, get old, and shoot the shit with the other old farts out front. And, of course, tell jokes.
