Jayne

Neighborhood: Lower Haight

Gig: Owner, Edo Salon

What's your most embarrassing SF moment? Riding on the roof of my 1964 Chevy Nova down Valencia with my entire body painted blue, wearing nothing but my underwear — for an "art walk" in the mid '90s.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? Pizzeria Delfina. Panna pie with arugula and fresh stretched mozzerella.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Lord ... the awesome guy covered in face tattooes and a sailor hat. He never wears a shirt. Love him.

What's your go-to date place? Gracias Madre.

Why do you love your neighborhood? Alamo Square park has the best views and is in the center of the city, Divisadero is fun but not played out, and having the Panhandle right nearby is great for a quick morning run under the trees.

Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? The San Francisco Zen Center has lovely meditation ... and Samovar Tea House is right across the street.

What's the question you wish we asked? Where is the best place to meet single people?
