comes from circus blood

Neighborhood: Noe Valley

Gig: Editor/Stylist/Photographer, sfgirlbybay.com

What event will we find you at this week? The Alameda Flea Market - it's been rescheduled from the 6th to the 13th because it apparently now pours rain almost every single first Sunday of the month in the Bay Area.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? I'm pretty fond of Herb Caen, and I used to live in his old apartment in Pacific Heights.

What's your go-to date place? Date? What is this 'date' of which you speak? A foggy walk around the outer Richmond with cameras in hand, and a late breakfast at Outerlands sounds pretty good.

Why do you love your neighborhood?  I run into people I know everywhere I go in Noe and everyone's friendly and knows my name. It's kinda like Cheers without beer.

What's your secret spot in town? I'm very often found on Kite Hill with my dog Lucy, admiring the view of the best city ever invented.

What's the question you wish we asked? You come from circus blood? Yes, my great grandparents owned the Downie Bros. Circus, and had my ancestors not gambled and lost it in ruin and shame, I might be being blown out of canon or walking in a tutu on a high wire somewhere right now.
