Victoria Mortati Bronx Mom Impersonator
is hopelessly devoted to you
Neighborhood: Inner Richmond
Gig: Filmmaker, Roxie Theatre Intern, Scooper at The Ice Cream Bar
What are you up to these days? Pestering my friends to collaborate on a zine, they're all lazy assholes. I'm also hunting down the best scone in San Francisco. The corn and cherry scone from Arizmendi is winning.
What event will we find you at this weekend? I will be attending the opening night of the noir festival "I Wake Up Dreaming" at the Roxie!
Where would you have your last meal on earth? Calzones and bottled cokes from Tony's Pizza Napoletana in North Beach, I mean the food is obviously great but those pizza guys deserve a personal goodbye for being so incredibly good looking.
Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Ray Lei. A culinary master, intrepid techy, job juggler, and the only guy on earth who can pull off the leather trench. One-of-a-kind character to say the least.
Where's your go-to date place? I usually don't Pho on the first date but Sunflower on 16th and Delirium for dessert. You just can't go wrong with that.
Where's your secret spot? The fountains outside the de Young at nighttime. If a guy name Carl tries to sell you broken lighters out of a suitcase, scram!
Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? The listening stations at Rooky Ricardo's and bitching to Dick about boy troubles.
What's your favorite SF institution? ATA (Artist's Television Access). Embodies the relish and charm of film in San Francisco. An artist run, non-profit theater that houses a ragtag bunch of experimental found footage films, performance art, music, guaranteed to never leave the place dry-eyed or dry-shirted.
SF is... mumblecore.
