What are you up to these days? I'm preparing for the release of Straight Outta Hunters Point 2. I'm also playing a more prominent role on the board of the San Francisco Black Film Festival coming up in June 2012.
Where would you have your last meal on earth? On Alcatraz, lol! I'd eat my mom's New Orleans style gumbo (crabs, shrimps, okra, etc., blended with Cajun herbs and spices).
Where do you get your local gossip? SFBayview, SFGate, barbershops, Change.org. I mix it up a lot.
Who's your favorite quintessential local character? George Lucas. He's wildly successful as an independent filmmaker, and he has a super hot black girlfriend, Mellody Hobson.
Where's your go-to date place and why? Frisco Fried on 3rd street. Its homestyle soul food is delicious.
What's your favorite San Francisco institution? The African American Art and Culture Complex and the de Young Museum.
What do you get obsessive about here in SF? Mitchell's Ice Cream.
What would you change about San Francisco? A lot, lol!
