St. John's Episcopal Church

St. John’s is one of the oldest Christian communities in San Francisco, established in 1857. While we have deep roots in ancient Christian traditions, we are far from “conventional.” We are a progressive and inclusive parish, full of people who “talk the talk and walk the walk” of our faith through spiritual practice and active commitment to social justice and healing in our broken world. We are very happy that El Buen Samaritano, the Spanish-language Episcopal congregation in San Francisco, joined us on Julian Avenue in 2008.
