About Florica
Florica loves to uncover all things spectacular and create them when they do not yet exist. She studied film and completed her masters in the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU. Along with Oscar G. Torres she created the Pianocktail, a cocktail-making piano inspired by Boris Vian's novel "Froth on the Daydream." She immersed herself in media theory and open source culture through her work with ShiftSpace and helped GAFFTA open their doors to the public. With Ronaldo Barbachano, Florica started SFblotter, a curated guide to San Francisco. She is currently translating a decadent Romanian novel into English.
