For a more intimate speakeasy vibe, be sure to head down to the basement to experience the Remedie Room, which can easily be reserved for up to 30 people, making it ideal for your next office happy hour or even a birthday party.

Despite being in the heart of the FiDi, Local Edition is a spot that can easily be missed in a single blink. This underground speakeasy-style bar is a breath of fresh air thanks to its slightly covert outer appearance. The result? An enjoyable happy hour in a place that is often overlooked, which makes this a quaint meet-up spot for a first date or a catch-up with a close friend. Their most notable drink is the Ava Gardener.
The Hogshead Reserve

You’ve probably walked by the Barrel Room countless times during your morning or evening commute. What appears to be a well-known wine bar is actually home to a secret cocktail lounge! How do you access this lounge? By walking past the cash register in the wine shop and making an immediate left downstairs.

A password is required to indulge in their fine handcrafted cocktails, but not to worry—it can be obtained through making a reservation. If you enjoy film noir and all things detective, this lounge is for you. While all their drinks are unique, They Drive by Night and the Maltese Falcon are exceptional.

The most secretive of speakeasies on our list goes to the Musto Bar, which is nestled behind the doors of the Battery. The password for a little slice of perfection? That all depends on whom you know; Musto Bar is an exclusive members-only establishment.
