When I first saw The Bold Italic's Dinner-Party-In-A-Box, I knew I had to create this stop motion video (along with Melissa Small, the Bold Italic's Design Lead). 'Tis the season for dinner parties, after all, and what better way to show people what a good time can be had with all of its quirky elements? We may have turned Bold Italic HQ into an explosion of scrap paper and props, but in the end, we had enough fun for 10 dinner parties.
The recipe for the perfect dinner party, in The Bold Italic's estimation:
Dancing across your computer screen, and also included in the box:
Dinner dishes and dessert recipes from the chefs at Beast and the Hare, Bi-Rite Creamery, flour + water, State Bird Provisions, and 101 Cookbooks.
A Coffee Nerd Towel, with a hyped-up cast of characters including Professor Espresso and Charmer Cezve.
An Emergency Hook-Up Kit in case some sparks start to fly.
A one-of-a-kind wooden bottle opener, designed by Brendan Ravenhill.
Bingo for Adventurous Eaters, to spur competition between fearless foodies who have tried it all, from duck feet to frog legs.
Nibble-worthy chocolates from E. Guittard, ready to be consumed thoughtfully with a side of tasting notes.
Prophecy cookies, with some bold fortunes.
The box is $50 and can be ordered in our online shop. We're going to be offering free USPS standard shipping on all online shop orders from December 6th – 10th. Be sure to order it by December 17th (with 3 day UPS shipping) to get it in time for Christmas.
I hope you enjoyed our video! And happy feasting.
