Trace California’s wine making back 100 years and you’ll find its roots are in SoMa—not Sonoma or even Napa. You see, whilst Isadora Duncan adorned the Market street stage and Jack London immortalized the working man in South of the Slot; SoMa’s vintners created their own works of art—in bottles. Sadly, SOMA’s renaissance ended in the fiery aftermath of 1906 earthquake. And the 21st amendment quenched all desire to rebuild. Until now.
