Cunningham

Born and raised in Orange County, California, Christian headed up north to UC Berkeley for college where he met future Bay Bridged co-founder Ben Van Houten. Since his arrival in the Bay Area, he’s had a hard time leaving, subsequently completing his PhD at UC San Francisco — during which time he and Van Houten started The Bay Bridged (http://www.thebaybridged.com) out of a love for radio that they shared in college together in 2006.

Christian has been involved in music for over two decades as a performer, writer, podcast host, blogger, promoter, booker, manager, and event producer.

Outside of the music industry, Christian maintains a full-time position at Genentech as a member of the Early Discovery Biochemistry department.

Whenever he finds spare time, he can be found running, sailing on the bay, thinking about where he’ll travel next, or playing a very mean game of croquet.
