My note-to-self after Beyoncé’s On the Run tour: dance more, wear less. I know I’m not the only one who left that show with serious dance-envy. I’ve also struggled through enough Beyoncé YouTube tutorials to know that I need some one-on-one coaching if I’m ever gonna werk it like Bey.

Dreams really do come true. As 7x7’s Sarah Medina reported, starting September 14, we can all learn to be a little more bootylicious in Beyoncé dance classes with Dyon Lain. He’ll teach the moves from the “Ego” music video for the first set of classes, and keep it going with Yoncé-inspired choreography every Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon. Classes will be held at LEVYdance, at 19 Heron Street in SOMA. See you there. I’ll be the one in the glitter bodysuit.

UPDATE: Since we posted this, there has been such an overwhelming response that the event organizers have been working to accommodate the 800+ people who couldn’t get tickets! So far they have found dance studio space for Saturday afternoons starting September 6 at Lines Ballet, with two different times lots available: 3–4 and 4–5 p.m. The series will focus on Beyoncé’s Ego routine, which will take six weeks to learn and cost $60. That’s $10/class to move more like Bey. Updates will be made to the event’s Facebook page as more classes are scheduled to meet the demand.
