Two things just became official: it’s the holiday season and Lux SF is the best place to get all your friends gifts. Hayes Valley’s Lux Nail Salon recently won Allure’s Best Nails in San Francisco Award and it’s hardly a surprise to anyone who has been to this lovely boutique nail salon. If you haven’t been by yet, Lux SF is an intimate and chic neighborhood salon where you can get skin treatments and luxurious services for your nails, hands, and feet.
If you’re just looking for a solid mani-pedi, Lux’s got you. But if you’re looking for a little more pampering, other services include lime and ginger salt scrubs and top-notch nail designs. Lux also offers crystal manicures, which come with a few different options depending on how much sparkle you’re into. A Lux mani is $30, and a crystal manicure can include a single accent nail or every nail ($195) and is sure to get you compliments at your work’s holiday party!
One of the great things about Lux is how high quality the products they use are. Sitting in their chairs and soaking in the fresh scents of scrubs and lotions make you feel like your fanciest, best self. And seriously though, holy colors. Lux SF has ’em all. Or at least all the good ones. Lux’s owner, Tracy has an eye for the newest and funnest polishes and is great at helping you decide between all the beautiful colors (and so many glitter polishes!) along Lux’s walls.
Lux only carries vegan polishes and seeing all those hues arranged just so on the wall is the perfect, relaxing eye candy. Shopping Lux’s online offerings can have a similar calming effect on polish fans. If you have stockings to stuff, polishes are a great idea and no one would fault you if you get a color or two for yourself at the same time.
If you do decide you want to treat yourself to a rad manicure or pedicure before the holidays, Lux will be open ’til 10 p.m. from December 20 to December 24 and in time for New Year’s Eve from December 27 to December 31 because hey, we’re all busy, but we still want to look good.
