No matter how long you’ve lived here you likely know what a pain in the ass it is to find a room in an apartment in San Francisco. Half the ads on Craigslist are scams and the other half are from picky weirdos (like one chick I saw who wanted only “420 friendly successful girls who have a boho Urban Outfitters aesthetic.”)
One man found a way to really stand out from the crowd. Michael Hand, a San Francisco State alum who works in the city and makes great YouTube videos, recently found himself thrust into the housing market. His creative solution was to make a video advertising himself as the best roommate candidate.

Hand displays a number of desirable roommate skills (including exemplary discretion in times of need). Hand says he has not received any offers thus far and has gotten responses mostly from people who want to “compare and commiserate” housing woes. As for what Hand himself is looking for in a roommate he says he needs someone “who is an adult with no drama”. Cleaning the dishes on time is also a plus. If you or someone you know needs a cool roommate who is good in a pinch feel free to email Hand at michaelneedsahome@gmail.com.
