Last Friday evening, we were all hit with a collective gut punch. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, after a lifetime of fighting tirelessly for our rights, passed away.

That evening, more than 500 people gathered Friday night around 7 p.m. at The Castro’s Harvey Milk Plaza to both mourn the loss of such a legendary icon — as well as what that will mean for our democracy — as well as celebrate her life.

We’ve rounded up images from the vigil and gathering. Have others you want to share? Tag us @thebolditalic on Instagram.

Let’s keep up her fight.
