We know we can be picky eaters in San Francisco but sometimes it can be a bit much for the folks running restaurants. Eater’s Allie Pape writes about a Chinese restaurant in SOMA named SO (we’ve written about their black bean noodles before) that’s just had it with dietary requests and complaints. Allie reports that SO closed up last night and posted this sign to let customers know why:
She also spoke to an employee, who said, “the walkout occurred after back-to-back incidents with rude customers: one party refused to pay their bill after deeming the food ‘too spicy,’ while another cursed at the owner.” The owner is apparently also the cook, so when he hits the boiling point, as it were, that’s it for everyone. Although, as Allie notes, SO will reopen tonight.
