Save the date videos seem to be a thing these days and some people are just better at them than others. Take Tyler MacNiven and his fiancé Kelly, for example. These two local love birds made an action movie-inspired short proclaiming their love and the day of their wedding, complete with fake explosions and over the top punches.
If MacNiven (who actually is a filmmaker beyond wedding announcements) looks familiar, it could be because he won The Amazing Race or because he is one of the owners of the restaurants West of Pecos and Woodhouse Fish Co. It could also just be the red hair thing.
The couple’s video is ridic in a different way than last year’s fancy lawyer couple’s STD video, but both serve as a reminder that a card in the mail just ain’t cutting it these days. So if you’re getting married, you might want to save room in your budget for a videographer and lock down that cute shot list now. Dibs on the Full House parody angle.
