The Tenderloin will soon be graced with a monthly event called “So You Think You Can Lap Dance?” — because this city is still at least a little weird. The fun starts April 10 and will continue through July at PianoFight. You may recall that PianoFight opened its new location in the TL in December and continues to add to its programming as an outpost for live comedy and theater in the city.
According to 7x7, this new performance series will include improvised lap dances by six dancers, as well as a panel of judges, a host, and one additional lap dance contender plucked from the crowd. All dancers will improvise moves on the laps of lucky volunteers, performing to songs picked on the spot by the room. The best part is that the winner gets the most balling-on-a-budget prize ever: a $25 Ross Dress for Less (aka Mess for Less) gift card and a sprinkle donut. Tickets start at $15. Start practicing your routines now, San Francisco.
