I think sometimes we get jaded. We get so caught up in our lives that we forget to look around us. We take our city, the place we used to view with such wonder and curiosity, for granted. It’s just home now, regular old home.
But all it takes to really appreciate the beauty and sheer awesome-ness of SF is to look at it from a radically different perspective. Ten thousand feet up, to be precise.
That’s just what Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Vincent LaForet did. He went up in a helicopter and flew over our city and captured images that are truly insane.
This one shows a storm brewing over our city. It is a mix of frightening and awe inspiring.
This one makes the case that SF is actually located somewhere in the Tron universe.
Look how teeny the bridge looks here. If the massive bridge looks this tiny, how minuscule does that make the rest of us? Kinda makes you think…
And this reminds me of Tetris, proving we’re all just little rectangles trying to find where we fit in.
