I’m always looking for ways to make my commute to the city from Oakland more interesting and luckily, just when I was tired of playing “to sit or not to sit,” I stumbled upon this gem on Reddit of BART in the world of Super Mario Brothers 3.

The map was created by Reddit user joshing_uno, and while it’s not completely geographically correct (the Richmond and the San Mateo bridges are missing) it’s still pretty damn cool.
And have you noticed just how clever he was about the Golden Gate Bridge? Genius.
Joshing_uno isn’t the only person to imagine the Bay Area in Mario and Luigi’s world, however. Earlier this year, Dave Delisle created this poster of the BART system imagined as Super Mario Kart and posted it on Dave’s Geek Ideas.

Since imagining myself zipping down a rainbow colored road in a little car with great adventures ahead is obviously far better than the truth that is riding BART, I’m indebted to these guys for ensuring I have an awesome commute this week.
