Sometimes you see event listings and you’re pretty sure you’re getting punk’d. You half expect camera crews to pop out of the bushes with a host in a trucker hat saying, “Gotcha! You didn’t think you really lived in a city that fun and weird did you?”
Update: we do live in a city that fun and weird. And we have the onesies to prove it.
Tonight The Lookout will host a “Winter Onesie Party.” Guests are encouraged to wear their best onesie (there will be a contest) and donate $5 to the National AIDS Memorial Grove. The event page urges guests to “start MLK weekend with a party with a purpose” and nothing says “AIDS awareness” like adults in cow pajamas.
Personally I hope this “wearing pajamas to the club” trend persists so people don’t have to walk the streets shivering in their stylish but impractical party clothes in pursuit of a good time.
I love you, San Francisco. You are crazy but always a good time.
