It’s a dream come true, and one I’ve waited for for a very long time — the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is coming to San Francisco in April.
Yes, there is such a thing as a Hello Kitty Cafe Truck, and it serves cupcakes, donuts, and all sorts of treats in the shape of Hello Kitty. The truck will be in town for the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, which takes place over two weekends — April 11–12 and April 18–19 in Japantown. The festival, which celebrates the Japanese culture and community, is a beautiful way to welcome spring in the city (and will be even more beautiful with the Hello Kitty truck there).
The truck will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each day of the festival. According to SF Gate, the treats on the menu include: macaroons, petit4 mini cakes, donuts, a water bottle shaped like a bow, hot chocolate, and lemonade. As is only fitting, the food will be in a Hello Kitty shape, form, or color. This isn’t the first stop the truck has made in California, and judging by previous photos, be prepared to wait in line.
