Here’s an addictive interactive map displaying which international neighborhood you could reside in compared to your SF neighborhood and pay the same price for a home. Some of the results illustrate just how ridiculous the real estate situation has become in San Francisco. Here are a few of our favorite results:
- Cow Hollow ($1,230/square foot) is now as expensive as La Parte Vieja, a neighborhood in San Sebastian, Spain ($1,284/square foot)
- Twin Peaks ($924/square foot) is now as expensive as the prestigious Champs-Élysées neighborhood of Paris ($893/square foot)
- Mission Dolores ($1,059/square foot) has eclipsed the gorgeous Ponte Vecchio neighborhood of Florence ($1,020/square foot)
You can peruse the map here. It’s pretty fascinating.
