I first started hanging out in Bayview a couple years ago to visit a friend’s art studio. It took me a while to venture past the couple blocks I knew, but when I did, I was hooked on the area. The neighborhood is filled with friendly locals who always seem down for a chat, and I really like that people pay attention to their community. Many businesses actively do things to help their neighbors, and there are many youth and environmental focused endeavors here.
I brought my camera along on a recent Bayview trip to snap some photos of my favorite spots.
Let me know what I missed, I’d love to hear your favorites!
Editor’s note: Do you live in Bayview? The Mayor’s Office of Civic Innovation is currently running a project celebrating stories from residents of the neighborhood. Add your piece to the mix (and check out what other people have shared so far) here.
