Vahram Muratyan’s Paris versus New York is a book of fun illustrations comparing the two cities. I’ve always admired the collection because Muratyan doesn’t put down either place; instead, he paints a friendly, simple comparison between two cities he adores. Feeling inspired, I illustrated a spin-off featuring California’s most notable cities: San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The Bold Italic is a not-for-profit media organization, and we publish first-person perspectives about San Francisco and the Bay Area. We operate under a fiscal sponsorship of a 501(c)(3).
