The force is stronger than ever in San Francisco — a Yoda sculpture has found its way to Union Square.
Part of the Hearts in San Francisco project, a yearly fundraising effort by the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, the sculpture has two parts. On one side, Yoda gazes sagely into the distance under the beginning of his most notable quote, “Do, or do not…” The other side shows Yoda’s full body, his hands clasped, along with the final words of his quote, “There is no try.” You can see for yourself below.

The sculpture was created by Lawrence Noble, an artist who has made numerous Star Wars sculptures, including some for Lucasfilm. According to CityLab, this is the Yoda sculpture’s second appearance in the city (it first popped up in 2011).
There’s no word yet on how long it will hang around in Union Square, so be sure to snap a quick photo or, let’s be real, a selfie before it’s gone. You know you want to, Padawans. After all, the newest Star Wars movie is only nine months away.
May the force be with U
