I was a little skeptical when I first opened this video by San Francisco filmmaker Alex Cornell about how cellphones have made it impossible to make real plans with anyone anymore. Tell me something I don’t know already; San Franciscans are notoriously bad at making commitments to anything. But the way the video breaks down flakes into three categories (latecomers, no-showers, and optimizers) speaks some undeniable truth that’s worth watching. Maybe it’ll even inspire some of us to try to fit into the fourth category — people who make plans and keep them. Maybe.
