It’s official: smoke from the West Coast fires had made it all the way to other side of the country. On Tuesday, the smog could be spotted up to 5,000 miles away, including along the National Mall.

Washingtonians woke up to similar skies to what we’re use to — grey and sad — but their air quality wasn’t near as bad as here.

Check out this animation of how the smoke has traveled across the country.

Local DC journalists and residents captured the surreal smoky skies.

Now that his sky is also filled with smoke, maybe Trump believe climate change is real. Doubtful.
