Every hour the Trumpocalypse ticks closer. Some intrepid artists are dealing with the pain by making us laugh. This week we unearthed children’s books, sketch comedy and a Spiderman-Trump mash-up. Without further ado:
When You Find Out Your [________] Is a Trump Supporter
Comedy Group Pizza Party perfectly captures the sensation of discovering that your BFF/boss/lover is a Trump supporter. Maybe this hits a little too close to home. In that case, just take it as a showing of solidarity.
Spiderman vs. Trump
Last year, coloring books became trendy for adults. Apparently, they’re good tools for de-stressing and unwinding. If you can’t afford Johanna Basford’s beautiful illustrations but are still craving that throwback to kindergarten, look no further. This one comes with an inauguration spin and even lets you name the villain. The comic artist, Michael Capozzola, personally suggests “The Orange Ogre.”

Horrible Trump Fan Fiction
One of the weird things about celebrity culture is that anything can be a fandom, even politics. To that end, there is Trump fan fiction in the same way that there’s Harry Potter fan fiction.
To wit: Trump in the Lizzie Maguire universe.
“Up in Smoke Gordo Donald Trump”
Characters: Donald Trump and Gordo from Disney’s Lizzie McGuire
Brief Summary: Trump bums a smoke from Gordo, and the two have some serious chemistry.
Key Passage:
“I’m a businessman with a new love for politics.”
“Sounds pretty boring and pretty typical of a white straight male.”
He grinned from ear to ear and stepped a little closer.
“I never said I was straight. That sounds like a pretty typical accusation thrown around by a young straight misfit.” He was staring down at me now. His green eyes locking me in and not allowing me to look away.
“I never said I was straight,” I whispered.
The next few seconds were a blur.

There’s also a My Little Pony/Trump mash-up. Read the rest of them here.
The Pumpkin and the Pantsuit
Describing our soon-to-be-president to your children can be difficult. Now you don’t have to. The Pumpkin and the Pantsuit takes a challenging subject and turns it into an uplifting story about good sportsmanship and never giving up. Can you guess who is who?

Haven’t figured it out yet? Let us help.

If only real life were as wonderful as a children’s book.
